From symphonies to hoedowns and rocking jams to festivals, Brevard has it all!  Meraki Escape's cabin vacation rentals make the perfect home base.  If you're looking for aural pleasure, we have the perfect accompaniment. Brevard offers a wide array of live music, including bluegrass sets and classical concerts at the famound Brevard Music Center. During the year, there are several festivals displaying the skill of local performers such as the Steep Canyon Rangers (often accompanied by Steve Martin), and Shannon Whitworth. If that's not your thing, grab your dancing shoes and boogie down to a wide array of great bands such as Hat Trixx at the DFR Lounge. If chill is more your style, the indoor-outdoor stage at 185 King Street will be your place.

Brevard Music Center

Imagine a place where music fills the air and where Beethoven, Mozart, and Verdi are alive and well. Starting every June, the Brevard Music Center presents over 100 performances and events, encompassing multiple music genres, to more than 40,000 enthusiastic fans from across the country. Virtually every one of the orchestra, chamber and opera performances – and some blues, gospel, bluegrass, jazz, and pops, too – is of the don’t-miss variety.

Summer Festival concerts tickets can be purchased here. Music-lovers are welcome to bring their own food and beverages for a pre-concert picnic on the lawn or purchase delectable treats on campus.

185 King Street

Live Music Venue, Beer Garden, and home of Noblebräu Brewing.  Tickets are required for most performances and it’s well worth it. The band is visible from inside and out in the Beer Garden. ✪ Meraki Favorite

 

DFR Lounge

They host private ticketed events including music performances, wine tastings, rotating food events, and bi-weekly Sunday brunch buffets with live music and dance instruction. They are located in the basement of Papa L.E.W. so if the event you’re attending doesn't include food we recommend dinner & drinks there first.  For last minute walk-in performances we suggest you go to their Facebook page.

Wine Down on Main

Our small town is crawling with incredible musicians and artists and every Friday and Saturday night Brevard's local talent is live! This European style restaurant is the place where anyone can come in and enjoy a glass of wine or beer and relax in a cozy atmosphere. They have great eats too! ✪ Meraki Favorite


The Grand Ole Station

The Brevard Philharmonic

A 55-piece orchestra which generally performs five concerts at the Porter Center at Brevard College during the fall, winter, and spring seasons. Both accomplished local musicians and professional musicians are playing members. In addition to the orchestra, the organization conducts a Music in the Schools program, which sponsors performances in local schools. 


The Transylvania Choral Society

A volunteer community choir that prepares and presents sacred and secular music twice a year. Society members share their love of music in performances that entertain, inspire and inform. Founded in 1975, The Transylvania Choral Society is a Community Performing Arts Chorus open to all vocalists within Transylvania County who are interested in performing choral music within a concert setting.
