How many guests can attend our Diamond Elopement? 

The Diamond Elopement Package is designed as an intimate experience for the couple. If you would like to include extra guests (up to 6), please inquire directly so we can discuss availability and any necessary adjustments. Our focus is always on preserving the privacy and natural beauty of the setting. 


Is lodging included in the Diamond Package? 

Lodging is booked separately from the elopement package.  Most couples choose a 3–5 night stay to fully settle in, celebrate their ceremony, and ease into their honeymoon without feeling rushed. The additional time creates space for a couples massage, private spa and wellness experiences (yoga, watercolor in the woods, wild cocktail classes, etc.) and simply being together in the quiet of the forest — allowing your celebration to unfold naturally and intentionally. What happens if it rains? 

The Blue Ridge Mountains are part of the magic — and weather is always part of nature. All couples are required to select a rain plan prior to their wedding date so that, if needed, we can transition effortlessly. You may choose to proceed with your ceremony at the waterfall or another on-property location under our tented setup, allowing your celebration to remain immersed in the forest, or select an alternative off-property location in advance. 


Can we customize elements of the ceremony? 

Absolutely. Your ceremony is a reflection of your love story. From music selections to unity elements and vows, we work closely with you to personalize meaningful details while preserving the effortless flow of the day. 


How long does the entire Diamond experience last? 

The Diamond Elopement is a full, curated experience — typically spanning several hours from ceremony through dinner. Your detailed timeline will be created with your Wedding Specialist to ensure everything unfolds naturally and without pressure. 


When do we receive our photos? 

Your professionally edited images are delivered through a secure online gallery. Turnaround time will be outlined in your planning process, but we always aim to deliver thoughtfully curated memories you will treasure for a lifetime. 


Do you help coordinate vendors? 

Yes. The Diamond Package includes comprehensive coordination. We work with trusted, local professionals — including florists, chefs, and wellness partners — to ensure a seamless experience. If you have special requests, we’re happy to explore those with you. 


Is the package legally binding for marriage? 

Yes. A certified officiant is included. We are happy to assist you through that process.


Can we add additional enhancements? 

Yes. Additional floral upgrades, extended photography, specialty beverages, custom desserts, and other bespoke details may be available through our à la carte add-on menu. 


How far in advance should we book? 

We recommend reserving your date as early as possible to ensure availability of both the property and your dedicated Wedding Specialist. Because we host elopements privately and with intention, our calendar remains thoughtfully limited.

Meraki Escape is not a venue you rent — it is a fully curated, privately hosted experience. From waterfall ceremony to champagne toast to dinner under the stars, every element is intentionally woven together so you can remain present and simply begin your next chapter together.

MERAKI ESCAPE'S SPA AND WEDDING POLICIES

Reservation, Payment & Cancellation: A deposit of 50% of your selected package total, along with your cabin reservation, is required to secure your elopement or celebration date. The remaining balance is due in full seven (7) days prior to your ceremony, along with your cabin balance.   For cancellations made more than 30 days prior to your elopement or celebration date, the deposit will be refunded minus the non-refundable $500 Wedding Specialist Retainer and a 3% credit-card processing fee associated with the original transaction. Within 30 days of your event date, all payments become non-refundable due to vendor commitments and the exclusive reservation of your date.

Guest Count: All elopements and celebrations must remain within the maximum guest count specified in your selected package. Meraki Escape is a strictly adults-only property, and all ceremonies and celebrations are limited to guests 25 years of age and older. Guests who arrive with infants or children will be asked to leave the property immediately. Failure to comply may result in cancellation of the elopement or celebration without refund.

Weather Policy:  The Blue Ridge Mountains are part of the magic, and couples are required to select a rain plan in advance of their ceremony date. You may choose to proceed at the waterfall or another on-property location under our tented setup, or pre-select an alternative off-property location. Once selected, your rain plan will be thoughtfully implemented if needed.

Vendor & Property Use: Only approved vendors coordinated through Meraki Escape may provide services on property unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. All décor installations must be pre-approved. Nails, staples, open flame, or alterations to the natural landscape are not permitted. The waterfall, trails, and forest areas are natural environments, and guests acknowledge the inherent risks associated with outdoor terrain.

Alcohol & Parking: If alcohol is present during your celebration, it must be pre-approved. Couples are responsible for the conduct of themselves, their guests and for compliance with all applicable laws. Meraki Escape reserves the right to discontinue alcohol service if guest behavior becomes unsafe.

Parking is extremely limited and must be coordinated in advance. Carpooling is encouraged, and vehicles must remain in designated areas only.

Liability: Meraki Escape is not responsible for personal injury, lost or damaged personal items, weather conditions, natural occurrences, or third-party vendor performance. In the event of circumstances beyond our control — including severe weather, government restrictions, or other force majeure events — services may be rescheduled accordingly. We strongly encourage couples to consider event insurance for additional peace of mind.
